Desirée Hayward

Desirée HaywardDesirée initially joined Chiarelli Cramer Witteveen LLP as a summer student in 2019, following which she completed her articles with the firm. Desirée has since joined CCW as an associate lawyer and practices in the areas of family law, wills, and estates law.

Prior to joining CCW, Desirée worked as a legal assistant in a personal injury firm, and summered in the legal department at The Co-operators Group Limited.

Desirée holds both a Bachelors of Arts, High Distinction, and a Masters of Arts in Legal Studies from Carleton University. Desirée also holds a Juris Doctorate from the University of Ottawa, Common Law program, where she graduated cum laude.

Desirée has volunteered as a workshop leader with the Ontario Justice Education Network (OJEN), and has been involved as a legal researcher for the National Association of Women and the Law (NAWL). Desirée’s other interests include gourmet baking and burying her nose in a good historical fiction book!
